WHAT IS MANDELA DAY MARYLAND?

Join us for Mandela Day Maryland, a state-wide celebration dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela on July 18, 2024. This special day marks the global observance of Nelson Mandela International Day, encouraging everyone to reflect on Mandela's enduring values of resilience, peace, and social justice, and to identify ways we can embody these principles in our own lives. Through community service, educational workshops, art and cultural exhibits, and the practice of mindfulness, we aim to inspire action, promote understanding, and create positive change across Maryland.

Mandela Day Maryland is our opportunity to come together, reflect on how we can be more like Nelson Mandela, and commit to building a more just, equitable, and compassionate Maryland. We invite you to join us in this global day of celebration.
